Amid the protests in Hong Kong last November, Ronan decided to take a 9 month break and move to the UK to learn to drive, in preparation for his upcoming university enrolment. 

Prior to his departure he contacted Paul at Jack and Jill, where we were on hand to help with his application for a UK Driving Licence and communicated with the DVLA to make sure that everything was in place, ready for his arrival.

As we’re online 24/7, it was quick and easy for Ronan to check our availability, book lessons to suit his schedule and pay securely. All from the comfort of his armchair, far away in Hong Kong!

On his arrival in the UK, everything was set for Ronan to start his driving adventure, but then… COVID!

After an unexpected 4 month delay, the virus didn’t stop Ronan… He was not only in an unfamiliar town, he was in an unfamiliar country, with all of our wacky Britishness and very different traffic laws!

Unfazed by all of this, he successfully passed his driving test on the FIRST attempt, with only 3 minor faults!

We’re very proud of Ronan and his journey to driving success and we wish him all of the very best for the future.
